ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hi blog friends!!!

One of the most favorite all time challenges for card makers is "anything goes".  At The House That Stamps Built, that's what the challenge is this week.  It only happens when there are 5 Wednesdays in a month...so get your creative selves in gear and join us!

This color block look came from playing with my Brusho's  on watercolor paper.  I stamped the image RI#9205-O, Hydrangea  with VersaMark ink and then covered the image with white embossing power and heat set it.  After adding water to the paper, I placed the colors in individual corners and the center and let the colors move together.  I let it air dry then used some Gel Medium and "painted" it over the image.

For more inspiration check out the other Anything Goes creations from my team mates.

Playing along with the challenges at The House is easy and you just might be the winner of a gift certificate for $25.00 worth of Repeat Impressions Rubber Stamps!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join the challenge!!!

OUTLAWZ CHALLENGES CAS CHALLENGE

Hello my blog friends!!

You might be interested in a new CAS color challenge at Outlawz Challenges.  The very talented Linda Anderson is making this challenge:

My birthday is in September and I celebrate all month long!! You guessed it, create a birthday themed card using my new favorite color combo - yellow, white, gray and/or black.

Here is my card for Linda's challenge

These leaves and black/gray bg pieces are die cut with Sizzix Tattered Leaves.  I used scraps of yellow, black and gray cardstock, covered them with LifeStyle Craft Shape'n Tape black sheets before cutting them.  For the sentiment I used MFT Lable Maker dies and stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have a chance to play along with the challenge this week, I hope you'll do it.  There's a prize for a random entry at the end of the month.
