WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hello blog friends!!!!

Is it me or do the weeks fly by faster than we realize????

Here we are at Wednesday again, and other than being "hump day" it's also time for another What If? Wednesday challenge at The House That Stamps Built and this week it's one of Wendy's awesome sketch challenges.

Are your wheels turning?  It's a fun sketch and I know you'll love playing with it.  We hope you'll give it a try and enter it in the challenge at The House.  All the detail for the challenge can be found there.

Here's my card....

I am always in need of guy birthday cards it seems, so I decided to use this sketch and create one.  Here are the stamps I used for this card.  RI# 911-I "Bi-Plane Silhouette" from the "Big Boys Toys" set.  RI# 5105-I "Cloud Silhouette Lg."  and for the sentiment I used RI# 2501-H "Happy Birthday from..." (I used only a portion of it). The papers are from Teresa Collins, 6x6 pad "Far and Away".  I also used the "Landscape Trio" dies from Mama Elephant for the stiched hills.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  For lots more inspiration using this sketch, check out my awesome teamies....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WENDY WYMAN OF REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Good Morning!
TODAY IS WENDY WYMAN'S BIRTHDAY!!!!
And you're invited to party with us.

Here's a little trivia about this awesome designer of incredible rubber stamps.

When Wendy Wyman was just 4 years old, she announced that she was going to be an artist when she grew up.  Many years, and many sketchbooks later, she had earned a BFA in Graphic Design.

The next 11 years found Wendy worked in advertising, freelancing, and ran a printing company.

And then it happened...Wendy's mom became a stamping addict, and the rest was history!  It was Wendy's mom's encouragement that led her to turn her illustrations into fine art rubber stamps.

Wendy's husband, Bill, was also looking for a career change, and jumped at the idea of learning a new skill.

And so....in 1996, Wendy Wyman, and her husband Bill Welsh established Repeat Impressions Stamps.  Each stamp is designed by Wendy, and manufactured by Bill in their home workshop!

Today, the design team for Repeat Impressions, (aka the "Rock Stars"), have joined together with a special hop for Wendy's Birthday!

Instead of cards, we thought it would be fun to create some ATC's for her. The Rock Stars mailed their ATCs to me and I placed them in a mini-mini paperbag album I created for them. The album measures 4 X 4.5 with a 2 3/4 inch binding.  There are 8 "pages" and each page holds at least 2 ATCs.  I also created some "pockets" on the inside of the flaps for extra ATCs.  The papers I used are DCWV Mariposa Mat Stack.

Wendy, you are one of the sweetest, and most generous people we know.  As a 'boss', rarely do we find ourselves on a team that is more professionally run,or more organized!  You are so understanding of our personal issues, and it's a joy to work with you and your products!  We want to wish you a very Happy Birthday!  We look up to, admire and respect you.May your day today be filled with love and laughter!  And remember....the more candles you have, the bigger the wish you are allowed!

Here is the ATC's album I created for Wendy's ATCs:

I created this ATC flip up for the front of the book with a message to Wendy from us all.

This is the awesome collection of all the ATCs by the Rock Stars which you can see individually and up close in each blog along the hop.

Please hop along to see what incrediblly fabulous projects my fellow Rock Stars have created
for Wendy!
Thanks for hopping with us!  If you have a minute, please go over to the The House  and leave Wendy a bit of Birthday love!!!

OUTLAWZ CAS CHALLENGE - IT'S ALL ABOUT HAPPY

Hello blog friends!

There's a new CAS challenge over at Outlawz Challenges....

Here is this week's challenge:
I'm pretty sure we've all heard "the happy song" by Pharrell Williams, so while you're singing along with the song, create a CAS card showing us what makes you happy.  Is it your children, your pet, your favorite place, the person you love, your flower garden, the sunrise, sunset, a particular color....I think you get the idea.  "Because I'm happy"!
We hope you'll play along and show us what makes you happy.

Supplies I used:  Avery Elle "Bright Days" stamps set and for the sentiment GKD "Hello Sunshine" Stamp TV Kit.  My happy die is from MFT and I got it FREE!!! (love that!)

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you'll have a chance to check out the challenge at Outlawz Challengs.  There are some awesome prizes to win.
