INSPIRATION WEDNESDAY FOR REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hello there blog friends!  It's been quite a weather story for New England this month and believe it or not....it's not over.  Another wave of stuff is coming tonight and into tomorrow.  The good news is, we dodged the bullet from the predicted weekend storm of 2 feet....it went out to sea and left only a few inces behind.  (whew)

So, now that the weather report is over - let me show you the awesome new inspiration challenge over at The House That Stamps Built.  I know you're going to want to play along on this one too.

Are your creative wheels turning?  I hope so, because I'd love to see your creation posted at The House.  (all the details for entering the challenge can be found there.)

I created this card from the inspiration

The stamps I used in this card are RI #1204-I "LOVE" (sentiment) and the image is from this stamp RI #1604-N "Rainy Day Friends" that I partially stamped.   I stamped the imaged of the bears twice and fussy cut them (and the umbrella) after coloring them with Copic Markers, I then stamped the masked image on the layer and placed the colored pieces over the stamping for some dimension.  The tiny hearts are from a dollar bin punch that I bought on one of my gazillion trips to Michaels.

You're going to love seeing the inspiration from the other Rock Stars....take a look

CLEAN AND SIMPLE FANTASY AT OUTLAWZ CHALLENGES

Hi there blog friends!  Here's hoping wherever you are it's warm and comfy.  It's another storm weekend in Maine and well below zero.

Today, over at Outlawz Challenges Clean and Simple Challenge it's Lynn's turn to post a challenge and she's challenging us to take a trip into fantasy land.

Here's Lynn's challenge:
This week we are off to 'Fantasy' Land. We challenge you to bring out those dragons, fairies, goblins, mermaids, elf, gnomes, goblins, etc. in true CAS style.

This is a really fun challenge - check out all the DT examples and you'lld be inspired to play along with us I'm sure of it.

My sponging hand got a little heavy on this bg, however, I love that little Repeat Impressions fairy image (RI# 4302-I "Fairy's Fun/Bumblebee") and the bg doesn't seem to overwhelm her. The image was colored with Copics and then I made a mask and sponged the bg.  I plan to CASE myself some time in the near future and see if I can't make some sponging improvements and create this card the way I first "saw" it in my mind.

Come on over and play with us at the new CAS challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you all have a great week.  I'll be back on Wednesday with a new inspiration challenge for The House That Stamps Built.  See you then.
