Thrilled to be February Guest Designer for JUGS

I'm so very excited - THRILLED - to have been asked to be Guest Designer for Just Us Girls challenges this month. What a great honor is to be creating with this group!

To begin the month here is a sketch challenge.

I took the sketch and gave it a flip and created a motion card called "Joy Fold".  It's a card within a card.  I hope you like it.  I'm also entering it in the Mix It Up Monday challenge at StampTV - "Pins or Pearls".

You can see it opened here:

The beautiful paper is from the The English Rose Collection from Kaisercraft.  The roses are from the fabulous "A Year of Flowers" by Melanie Muenchinger and were colored with Copic Markers.  And Melanie has had a book published that gives you all sorts of creative ways to use this fabulous stamp set.  Congratulations, Melanie!!!

I hope you'll play along with JUGS this month this is such a uber talented group of artists.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Designer's Choice Challenge

It's a Designers Choice Challenge over at The House that Stamps Built and you're invited to play along. Miriam has challenged us to use heat embossing on our card or project.  The Rock Stars have created some wonderful inspiration for you so take a peak and we all hope you'll join the fun......you could win $25.00 worth of FABULOUS stamps from Repeat Impressions.  You don't need to use an RI stamp, but if you do, you'll be entered twice in the challenge.

Here is my card using heat embossing.

I love that RI Butterfly(#9001).  After stamping this beautiful butterfly on vellum with VersaMark ink, I then covered it with Ranger Fine Black EP and heat embossed it.  Turning it over, on the back side, I then colored the wings with Copic markers.  The background was made with CuttleBug EF, Memory box die and Prima flowers I colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is also an RI stamp #8614.  The cardstock is Gina K Pure Luxury, White and Green Apple.

Don't forget, also at Repeat Impressions there's a sketch challenge you can enter until Wednesday and a Stamp of the Week offer to purchase the stamp of the week for 50% off.  So, make sure you check out The House That Stamps Built blog, for all the details and from there you can link to the entire list of Repeat Impression Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy each of the Rock Stars inspiring heat embossed projects.

The sentiment (#8114-F) I used for this card (also from Repeat Impressions) inspired this card.  If you love puppies, you know this is soooo true!!!
