CAS at OUTLAWZ

Merry Christmas, blog friends!

I hope you are surrounded by family and joyous times this Christmas and may we all remember the true reason of Christmas and keep it precious and holy.

There's a new CAS challenge over at Outlawz and you're invited to play along!  It's a challenge by our own sweet Pryn and here it is:

"WRAP IT UP" Challenge: In a frenzy many of us are scrambling to get the last of those packages wrapped. This week's challenge is to wrap up your CAS card or project by adding ribbon with a bow.

Here's the card I made for Pryn's "Wrap It Up" challenge.

The star was created using Teresa Collins "Christmas Home" dp and Savvy Die #10059 I ourchased from Ellen Hutson.  The branch stamp was designed by a local designer, Cortney Ricker and she designs for a LSS ''Your Maine Stamper".  Repeat Impressions cuts the stamp design for Courtney.  I hope to post some more creations with Courtney's stamps here.  For this image, I stamped this little branch several times in a variety of Memento green inks on Gina K Designs "Sandy Beach" cs.  The base layer is GKD Kraft.

I'm going to also enter this card in the CASology week #24 "STAR" challenge.

Thank you all for visiting my blog and for leaving your comments this past year, I so appreciate your visits.  Often times a question is asked and unless you leave me an email address, I can't respond.  So, if you would like a specific question answered, please leave me an email or contact address.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hello blog friends!

We're here with another designer's choice challenge at Repeat Impressions/The House That Stamps Built and this week it's Geri's turn to challenge us.   Geri's challenge is a color challenge; to use 2 or more shades of blue on your card.

How fun this challenge was.  I have a collection of blue papers that I rarely use (I don't know why), but this really inspired me to get them out and play with them.

I have so many fave stamps from RI and this one is right up there on the top of the list.  Isn't this a cute snow kitty?  He's image #3813-M "Snowcat and Frends" and so much fun to color.

We hope you'll play along with the Rock Stars and Geri's challenge - check out the link information at The House and post your card.  You'll be entered to win a $25.00 gift certificate for RI stamps.  If you use an RI stamp, you'll be entered in the drawing twice!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

STAMPTV CSS ALUMNI BLOG HOP CHALLENGE

Hi blog friends!!!

Welcome to the monthly StampTV CSS DT blog hop.  This challenge is a color challenge given to us by our own Linda Payne and the rules are to use non-traditional colors with absolutely no red or green.

If you've come here from the uber talented Brenda's blog, you're in the right place.  If not, head on over to the beginning of the hop and see all the inspiration in order, so you don't miss one.  Because...if you visit each blog and leave a comment as you hop,  on Friday morning (December 21), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!   What a Christmas gift for you that will be!!!!!

I don't have a lot of time these days, so my card is very simple to make - perfect for schedule.  It was made using Gina K Design Pure Luxury CS "Little Boy Blue" and White.  The white was put through an snowy ef and layered on the card base.  Using a Memory Box die "Country Landscape" on the same cs and layered that on the white panel.  I used the dove and sentiment from one of my favorite GKD Christmas stamp sets by Rupa Shevde, "The Magic of Christmas".  I first stamped the dove in Memento Nautical Blue ink, cut it with Spellbinder Classic Circle die and backed it with the scalloped circle die.  I then added glue and Stickles Dry Fine Glitter in "Waterfall" to the image and heat set it.  After mounting it with pop-dots to the front of the image, I then added Stickles glue "Watherfall" to the outline of the dove and the die at the base.   The sentiment was also stamped in the Memento Nautical Blue ink.

Thank you for stopping by, good luck with the blog hop....I hope you win!   Now head on over to the fabulously talented Geri for more inspiration with Linda's color challenge.

What If? Wednesday at Repeat Impressions!!

We're rock'n those challenges this week, blog friends!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a What If? Wednesday sketch challenge at The House That Stamps Built

Every two weeks, Wendy provides us with a sketch and challenges us to create a card with it. What's in it for you?  We hope you'll play along with us and if you, once you've linked up your creation on the blog page, you'll be entered in the drawing to win $25.00 gift certificate for some fabulous Repeat Impressions Stamps.  AND if you use RI stamps in your creation....you'll be entered in the drawing twice!  So come along and play with us.

Here's Wendy's WIW sketch and what I created using it...

For this card I used RI Stamp #309-N "Winter Birds".  I love these little birds, their faces are so dang cute and they're so much fun to color!

I embossed two layers with diffrernt ef.  One layer is cs and the other is dp which I distressed with DI, Antique Linen.  I also cut a ribbon of cs in the sand color and ran it through a ef too.  I used a MS pine branch punch and Copic Markers to color the birds and blend a "sky" bg.  The tiny pine cone is one of hundreds I collected last fall at our cabin at the lake.  I added just a touch of Stickles Crystals to it.

That's it....thanks for stopping by.  Now it's your turn....we hope you'll play along with us - here are my Rock Star teamies to give you tons more inspiration.

STAMP OF THE WEEK AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Once again, it's Monday and I hope you all had a great weekend and if you celebrated Thanksgiving I hope you had a wonderful day with family and friends.

Monday always means it's Stamp of the Week time at Repeat Impressions.  That means the stamp we're featuring is 50% off.  Go over to The House That Stamps Built, grab the code and stuff this cutie, "Twig Hair Snowman" #2003-G, in your shopping cart.

I had a great time with this stamp...it makes me smile just looking at it.  You can see the joy he could bring to anyone's day when he's on a card.  I'm a CAS kinda gal, so I let the snowman show himself off.

I got to use a new "snow" ef from Sizzix and for the sentiment I used RI stamp #4603-F

Please stop by my Rock Star Teamies and check out their fabulous creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions

Hello, blog friends.....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

It's always exciting to bring a new designer choice challenge to the followers of our blogs and The House That Stamps Built.

Today it's a designer's choice challenge and it's Rock Star, Karen's turn to challenge us and she's challenged us to a Non-traditional holiday color challenge.

For my card I used a light lavendar, teal and purple.  This snowman makes me smile every time I see him.....so I made this card because it makes me happy.   I hope it brings a smile to your face and/or a happy moment to your life today.

The technique is called "on the edge" and the dot bg behind the snowman is created with my turquoise Atyou Spica pen (available at Repeat Impressions).  The focal image stamp I used is #4714-L "snow skating".   I "captured" the sentiment "JOY" from sentiment stamp #424-G by masking.

You're going to want to visit my Rock Star Teamies for more inspiraton with Karen's fun challenge and we invite you to play along with us.  Link your project for Karen's challenge to The House That Stamps Built DCC challenge and get  yourself entered into winning some fabulous rubber stamps.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Please join us and play along with Karen's challenge...we can't wait to see what you create!!!!

WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends!

It's another WIW at Repeat Impressions  - it's when Wendy gives us one of her fabulous sketches to play with and we invite you to join us!

It's as easy as posting your creation (using Wendy's sketch) to your blog and linking it to The House That Stamps Built WIW link - you'll then be entered to win $25.00 worth of sensational RI stamps.

Here's the sketch Wendy gave us this week

My card, is a Joy Fold Card and will be part of a make and take at Your Maine Stamper in Winthrop, Maine this Saturday.  Wendy and Bill, of Repeat Impressions, will be doing a trunk show there and have graciously asked me to take part in it.  I'm so excited!!!  If you live close by, I hope you'll come out and join in on the fun from 1-4 pm.

My card uses RI stamp #8902-L "Moose Snow Globe" . I stamped it using Memento's new "Northern Pine" on white cs and used Crystal Stickles to embellish it.  I pieced the base of the globe with red cs.  This is just one of the fabulous Christmas and holiday stamps RI has.

Thanks so much for stopping by, don't forget to play along with us and please visit all my Rock Star Teamies for more inspiration with Wendy's sketch.

STAMP OF THE WEEK AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends!!!

 Thank you!
********

We're here to showcase the Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions.  It happens every Monday (a great reason to love Mondays).  For those who are followers of The House That Stamps Built blog, you can get these weekly featured stamps at 50% off the retail price.  Just head over, grab the code and put this stamp in your shopping cart.

Here's what I crated using this fun stamp.

For my card, I used some on sale glitter paper I found in a big box craft store.  I usually don't like lots of glitter, but I did like the CAS pop design it created on this white card base.  I used Tim Holtz Defusser to create the open space for the bulb and then dressed it with this fantastic corner bow die from MB.  This was such an easy and quick card to put together.  (I love Q&E).  The sentiment I used is #424-G

Thank you so much for stopping by.  If you want to see some more great inspiration using this stamp of the week, check out my Rock Star Teamies!

Have a happy week and thanks so much for stopping by.

StampTV CSS November Inspiration Blog Hop

Hi blog friends!!

Welcome to the November blog hop of the StampTV Center Stage Spotlight Alumni Design Team.

If you've come here from the super talented Brenda's blog, then you're in the right place.  If not, and you'd like to see the entire hop, blog by blog, link back to The Beginning so you won't miss a single fabulous creation.

Our team member Kay Simmons gave us this great inspiration to create with

Here's my card inspired by Kay's photo

I was inspired by the textures and the warm brown colors.  For my card I used "Heartfelt" set by Theresa Momber.  (On of my very favorites).  My bg was created using a Sizzix ef and Tim Holtz Alterations Embossing Diffusers.  I used a masking technique to get the silhouette foliage in the bg, stamped and colored the pumpkins with Copic markers then fussy cut them and mounted them in front of the foliage with pop dots.  I also added a bow using Gina's recent video "Beautiful Bow" technqiue

I'm also sharing this card on Outlawz CAS "Thank You" Challenge this week.  Check it out for some great challenges and more chances to win great prizes.

Before I go, I'd like to thank all the Veterans of our military for your dedication and service to our country. It's a privilege to be living in freedom and I will never forget that you gave me this privilege. Please take a moment this weekend (or any time) and remember our Veterans and thank them.

Thanks for stopping by, now hop on over to another super talented lady, Geri's blog and see her fantastic inspiration piece.

Be sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (November 13), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

STAMP OF THE WEEK AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends,

It's Monday so it's time for Stamp of the Week at Repeat Impressions!!!

I hope you've been able to get over to "The House That Stamps Built" and grab these awesome stamps each week at the discount of 50% off, and make sure to check out all the great stamps while you're there....In my humble opinion, Wendy and Bill create some of the most fabulous rubber stamps available and you will never be disappointed with your purchase.

The stamp of the week this week is the sentiment stamp "For The Beauth" #3213-G

There are some folks I send Thankgsgiving cards to and I wanted to create a one layer CAS card (easy to mail) and this verse, and the image of stamp #5127-K "Maple Leaf Silhouette", made a lovely combination.

The leaves were stamped using a BIG and Juicy Foliage stamp pad and the sentiment was stamped using Memento "Espresso Truffle".  The pearl embellishments were made using Viva Pearl Pen "Gold".

Please take a peek at what my Rock Star Teamies have created for you using the Stamp of the Week!

On a personal note, I'd like to ask if you'd keep our Rock Star Teamie, Joy Hadden and her family in your thoughts and prayers, Joy lost her husband this past week.

Thank you for stopping by - I love reading your kind messages and hope that there is some creative inspiration for you in each of my posts.
